The Time to Move Band is one of the premier R&B Bands in the tri-state area. Consisting of six highly accomplished musicians, the TTMB is renown for their dynamic vocals, powerful rhythm section and entertaining shows that feature high energy dance music, powerful vocals and always infectious dance and funk grooves. Though primarily an R&B band, they are first and foremost entertainers and are able to satisfy practically any crowd with their infectious grooves, accomplished musicianship and dynamic shows. They specialize in funk, dance, blues, rock and roll and country in their highly varied repertoire. The amazing vocals of Tim Jackson and Kathy Smith continue to enthrall, energize and mesmerize crowds.
The Time to Move Band has performed from Jackson to Memphis to New Orleans to Dallas to Pensacola to excited and appreciative fans all over the southeastern United States. This truly exceptional and eclectic group of accomplished musicians and singers bring "old school" back to life. They are like a time machine and through their music transport you back to a special time and place in your past. Music is an important part of your life and TTM takes you there.

Time To Move Band Biography
The Time to Move Band was formed in May 2000 by John Parker in Jackson Miss. He said his goal was to form a super-tight R&B, rock, country and funk band that would be the best in the state. He auditioned a long line of accomplished musicians before hand-selecting the original six which have since undergone a number of changes over the years.
Currently the Time to Move Band consists of Eric Cager on Drums, Tremaine Jones on guitar, AL “Debop” Browning on Keyboards, John “JP” Parker on Bass Guitar, and topped off with Tim “TJ” Jackson as male lead vocalist and Kathy “Smokin” Smith as lead female vocalists. Together they make up and are the renowned Time to Move Band.

Time to Move has had over 17 different musicians perform with us over the last twenty-five years but I believe our present lineup is the best we have ever had. The band is tighter than ever, driven by the incessant powerful drumming and air-tight pockets by our drummer Eric “E” Cager, the magnificent guitar playing of Tremaine Jones, and the electrifying keyboards of Al “Debob” Browning, and the steady bottom that I provide on bass make us who we are.

On top of all that, we add the mesmerizing vocals of Miss Kathy “Smokin” Smith who brings her own dynamic, soulful, bluesy voice and Tim, "TJ" Jackson who is a natural performer who can sing anything and entertain everyone. "TJ" can clown, he can sing, he is the ultimate entertainer and is the man who gets the audience up out of their seats and onto the dance floor. We are proud of who we are, the reputation and accolades that we have achieved over the years and joy that we have brought to thousands at our shows over the years.
